Tas Bash and "Variety, the children Charity"

The annual Variety Bash has become Australia’s most successful charity motoring event and is the focal point of fundraising efforts by many hundreds of Variety supporters Australia wide.

The Bash is not a race or a rally and
is not important. What really matters is that everyone has a great time visiting parts of Tasmania they would not otherwise see, at the same time providing much-needed help to Tassie’s sick, disadvantaged and special- needs children.

"Its not about the destination, its about the journey" Tas Bash is a carnival on wheels, bringing fun and excitement to regional communities throughout Tasmania. Craig Rogerson of R&B Surveyors is a seasoned "tasbasher" and has been taking part for 14 years. "Tasbash puts the fun in fundraising."

2013 Event: Saturday 12th -19th October

"House of Hope"

The House of Hope organisation has been established by four local business owners; Craig Rogerson, of Rogerson and Birch Surveyors, Andrew Clifford, Scott Crawford, a Roberts Real Estate agent, and Andrew Lyden, of Andrew Lyden builders. Together they joined forces to raise funds for the children's charity, Variety, and the Rachel and Jye Fund, which is part of the Cancer Council's children's cancer program.

Three major "House of Hope" building projects have been undertaken. 2007 at Oakdowns, 2009 at Glebe Hill and 2011, "Madison House" in Claremont with all the

proceeds from the sale of the houses donated.  These proceeds assist parents of children with cancer, along with sick, disabled and disadvantaged children helped by Variety the Children's Charity.
